Washington, DC – February 23, 2018 – Obsidian Global, LLC (Obsidian) was awarded the new Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Numbers (SINs) by the General Services Administration (GSA). This allows Obsidian to provide cybersecurity services to all federal agencies via GSA’s IT Schedule 70, in support of the Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) and the Cybersecurity Implementation Plan (CSIP). These HACS SINs provide federal agencies quicker and more reliable access to pre-vetted companies that have proven experience delivering cybersecurity support services that rapidly address potential vulnerabilities and stop cyber adversaries.
To date, Obsidian is one of approximately 100 companies that has been awarded GSA’s HACS SINs. Obsidian underwent a lengthy and rigorous evaluation, which included submission of numerous written proposals as well as oral technical evaluations. GSA performed a comprehensive review of Obsidian’s cybersecurity services and thoroughly vetted our capabilities to deliver quick and reliable services in three areas:
- Penetration Testing (SIN # 132-45A) – Security testing in which assessors mimic real-world attacks to identify methods for circumventing the security features of an application, system, or network.
- Incident Response (SIN # 132-45B) – Helps organizations impacted by a cybersecurity compromise determine the extent of the incident, remove the adversary from their systems, and restore their networks to a more secure state.
- Risk and Vulnerability (SIN # 132-45D) – Conducts assessments of threats and vulnerabilities; determines deviations from acceptable configurations, enterprise, or local policy; assesses the level of risk; and develops and/or recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures.
Obsidian provides cybersecurity expertise that enables federal agencies to successfully achieve their missions. The company has defended the most mission-critical systems including tactical, cross-domain, large-enterprise, and national networks from the most determined adversaries. Obsidian is an established ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI DEV2 certified small business, and classification is with the System for Award Management (SAM).
This positions the company to provide rapid cybersecurity services to all federal agencies
