Washington, DC – August 10, 2017 – Obsidian Global, LLC (Obsidian), a leading provider of Cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT Services for the federal government, announced today that the company was awarded a prime contract against their GSA IT Schedule 70 contract to provide operations and engineering support for the National Defense University (NDU) College of Information and Cyberspace (CIC) advanced modeling and simulation laboratories that augment the curriculum for global networking, homeland security, and network-centric warfare.
The CIC serves as the Department of Defense’s (DoD) principal educational resource for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and his senior staff, and is responsible for programs associated with Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) education. The CIC Laboratory Center’s mission is to provide an experiential center of education that leverages high-end computing and cutting-edge technology. The objectives for Obsidian’s support are to (1) use simulation and gaming to support and augment curriculum; (2) deploy multiple courses in the areas of enterprise architecture, process management, global networking, homeland security, network-centric warfare, and continuity of operations; (3) provide support to a crisis management learning environment; (4) provide support to the learning experience via multiple Virtual world platforms; (5) provide students with hands-on experience with the latest technologies; and (6) research and explore technological advancement that will enhance the entire curriculum.
This newest award expands Obsidian’s portfolio of Cybersecurity Training programs, which includes contracts such as United States Air Force DCITA and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Virtual Training Academy.
